Booster № 133 is an urbanlife protection booster for the skin and scalp, that protects against pollution from exhaust gasses and UVB radiation and prevents dust particles from sticking to the surface of the skin.

To protect skin from pollutants, we have selected four complementary active ingredients:

Argan leaves extract – anti-adhesion shield that protects against oxidative stress.

Hyaluronic acid – creates a hydric barrier.

Bear Garlic extract – anti-inflammatory properties.

Bilberries extract- protect skin from environmental damage such as pollution.

Argan leaves extract protects the skin from oxidative stress induced by pollutants, especially PM2.5 PAH and UVs. It inhibits the degradation of collagens and improves skin firmness and elasticity leading to the skin recovering its suppleness and smoothness.

Hyaluronic acid creates a hydric barrier and fights pollutants by moisturizing the skin. It tackles the damage caused by PM2.5, PAHs and potentialized by UVA. Hydrated, nourished and protected means the skin feels more comfortable and the skin’s barrier function is strengthened.

Bear Garlic (Ramson) extract possesses natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It is rich in antioxidants that work to neutralize free radicals, minimizing the damage caused by environmental pollutants and UV radiation.

Bilberries can help combat the effects of aging on the skin. Studies have shown that blueberries can stimulate collagen production, hence help keeping skin looking firm and smooth. Besides bilberries contain Vitamins A and E, both of which are essential for maintaining healthy skin. Vitamin A helps keep skin cells healthy and can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, while Vitamin E helps protect skin from environmental damage such as pollution. Bilberries are recognized as rich natural sources of antioxidants like pro-anthocyanidins, flavonoids, and anthocyanins can help protect against environmental damage and free radical damage that can lead to premature aging [src].

Pollution is an invisible enemy, cited by the WHO as one of the biggest environmental risks to human health. The skin is directly and continually exposed to this toxic multifactorial cocktail. Outdoors the skin is met by particles in various sizes and origins. Particles less than 2.5 μm in diameter, known as PM2.5, can accumulate and potentially penetrate the skin. They cover the skin and Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) such as BaP (benzo(a)pyrene) coming e.g., from exhaust gas, can be absorbed from the surfaces of these particles. [src]

When indoors, we are exposed to Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) such as formaldehyde and toluene, which are released by building materials and furniture. These pollutants generate free radicals (ROS-RCS) responsible for oxidative stress and trigger the signaling pathways involved in inflammation. Those mechanisms weaken the skin’s barrier function and progressively damage the skin structure. Attacked from all sides, skin suffocates and dries out. It loses its radiance and ages prematurely.
